Who we are
The Forum for African Women Educationalists – Malawi Chapter (FAWEMA) is a non-governmental organization that was founded in 1993 and registered in March 2001. It is a national chapter of the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE), based in Nairobi, Kenya. FAWEMA supports and promotes girls’ and women’s education in Malawi and is a non-political, voluntary, charitable, non-sectarian, and non-profit organization that does not discriminate based on race, age, creed, colour, nationality, or religious persuasion.

In partnership with strategic partners, the government, FAWEMA fosters innovations, promote positive policies/practices, and provide opportunities for girls and young women, especially the vulnerable, to develop skills, competencies, and values that will allow them to be productive members of their societies.
