The Forum for African Women Educationalists – Malawi Chapter (FAWEMA) is a registered non-governmental organization that brings together educationalists to support and promote girls’ and women’s education in Malawi. The chapter was established in 1993 and officially registered in 2001 under the Trustees Incorporation Act of 1962.
FAWEMA is the national chapter of the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE), whose secretariat is based in Nairobi, Kenya. It is non-political, voluntary, charitable, non-sectarian, and non-profit. FAWEMA does not discriminate against any person based on race, age, creed, color, nationality, or religious affiliation.
